I don't understand why cotton doesn't get more nba talk. If he improves his ball handling I think he could be an outstanding SG at the next level. He is a lock down defender, underestimated shooter, and by far the most athletic guy we have on the team. I honestly think cotton could have the best nba career out of anyone on the team, besides for maybe early.

His position in the NBA would most likely have to be at point guard. A position he is not playing regularly in college. He is undersized as a shooting guard and quite frankly not a great shooter.

I love Tekele. One of my favorite Shockers ever. Could he develop into a solid NBA point guard. Perhaps, but he will have to get their the hard way.

I do think Tekele will be able to make some nice money somewhere playing basketball and wherever he goes the fans will love him.

I agree he is undersized, but I think he has attributes to make up for it. I have stood next to Kirk Hinrich who has played some sg in his career and we were the same height. I'm 6'2". Same as Cotton. I don't know if there was a better shooter on our team the last 1/4 of the season. It seemed like every time we needed a big shot Cotton would make one. I believe his last 10 games he shot like 45% from 3. He wound up shooting basically the same 3 point percentage as baker and early. I totally agree he needs to handle the ball better, but besides that he has a lot of tools that translate well

Last 10 games of the season Cotton was 19 of 40 from 3 point land. A cool 47.5%. I think it is fair to see him shoot over 40% next year

Edit: last 14 games of the season he shot 29 of 61 for 47.5%

Cotton won't get any looks as a SG. He needs to play PG.
