If it had been Darryl Dawkins who made that dunk we would have some long, flowery name for he dunk. However, Tekele just doesn't operate in that mode.

That said Tekele's masterpiece will probably go down Shocker lore simply as "The Dunk" much like Jim Audley's masterpiece is still known simply as "The Throw" some 23 years after the fact.

I think so, and I feel fairly confident that the 4 or 5 of us regularly voting are accounting for the vast majority of the voting. I think it's unlikely I've voted for each winner in every round that wasn't Tekele.

Like you, I've seen the youtube many times and Mike Patrick’s call never gets old, but the other day I was looking on the baseball media guide and here is an audio of Mike Kennedy's call with Tom Kosich- of all people- doing color commentary. ( Since this is the basketball board thought I’d throw in the Kosich reference) .
