  • I wonder if Bo didn't get that tech costing Wisky 2 pts if this game still goes OT...no one will ever know.

Do you ever notice that teams usually settle for 20 foot jumpers in tie games a lot when teams are down 1 or 2 they usually drive hard to the hole and get a lay up or a foul.

Why not drive in a tie game ?

      • He barely got touched. There was a nice delay between the elbow graze and him grabbing his mouth too. That was a total acting job.

                • Could end up with 2 SEC and 2 BIG 10 teams now

                  Florida vs Michigan State
                  Kentucky vs Wicsonsin

Or we could end up with 3 Big 10 teams plus Florida

If Kentucky wants to win the National title they may have to go through 3 Big 10 teams (at least 2)

Michigan made same mistake last night too. With a few seconds left why don't teams just pass up to mid court ? That way it gets bobbled and time runs out sure beats passing few feet inbounds.

                        • Steven A. Smith just picked us to come back and win the NCAA tournament, followed by the NBA championship.

                          This was on SNL, FWIW.

...and Henry, you may have covered this....how did you possibly lose to South Carolina????

And my observation may be a repeat, but I love the quartet of Gumbel, Kellogg, Smith but MOSTLY Chuck...crack me up!

                              • Dayton's run at the Dance finally ends. What a run it was. As I reflect on that, it drives home to me even more just how breathtaking our beloved Shocks run to the Final 4 was last Season. Not bad for a team selected to finish 4th in the Valley that year. Pitt, the Zags, Ohio State, and LaSalle were solid teams that we defeated and led Louisville for much of the game and played them the toughest at the Dance of any other team.

As far as this Season, Kentucky could beat Michigan today. They were behind us and Louisville much of those respective games but found a way to win. After watching the Wildcats celebrate after beating us, it was obvious they knew defeating us is like pulling hens teeth as our 35-1 final record reflects.

As far as next Season, look for us to Dance still again. We will be deeper and improved at the 1,2, and 3 slots. We will be deeper at the 4 and 5 but are losing all of our bigs except Carter and Shaq. Even so, I am hoping we bring in *******, Atwood, or another solid Juco ready to produce. The recruiting class coming in is solid, very solid. Replacing Cle has to be done by committee. ******* intriques me as a player that could make an impact if he signs here as could Atwood.

Last but not least, let's discuss our exisiting players, knowing they will improve and develop into better players. It happened this Season, and in Seasons past and it will happen looking forward to next Season. Think about that with players Stutz, Hall, Cle, Baker, FVV, Chadrack, etc. It will happen again starting now through this summer and it will be contagious to the younger incoming players.

Thus, as we talk about this Dance, our focus remains beamed on our beloved Shocks and our bright ongoing future.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.
