Rolled into St Loueeee about 4 yesterday just in time to watch the Shox, UK, Cal Poly, and part of the KSU practices. I can confirm Kentucky has some BIG players, we'll see how this weekend works out for them. Unfortunately for Cal Poly they came out next, so the drop off in talent was quite a contrast. Shox looked focused. Seeing Coach Lowery waddling around in purple was kind of strange too.

Close or even down a little at half, up 4-6 with ten minutes to go but then
they wear down some. Shox 74 - 65

I believe Cal Poly is probably quite a bit better than there record suggests and they seem to be playing their best at the right time.

I think this will be an interesting and challenging game for the Shocks. Perhaps comparable to our games with Indiana State.

          Dudes...

WSU has been playing their best basketball late in the season. Cal Poly's RPI is worse then only three teams we have played; two of which are Layola and Bradley. That makes WSU 28-0 against teams with a better RPI.

This game won't be close. WSU by 20+.

I watched Cal-Poly play in the Big West tournament. They are, like 1972 Shocker said,
a lot like Indiana State to me as well.

There is no way WSU wins by 35.
            I would settle for 10.

If WSU looks past these guys looking forward to the next round,
            the season is over.

Fun factoid- as of this morning, we are the only team in the nation ranked in the top 10 of both offensive and defensive efficiency per kenpom.

A ONE SEED HAS NEVER LOST!!!! WHY ARE SOME OF YOU ALL WORKED UP AND WORRIED???

Seriously, it like some if you on here are starting to buy into the media BS against WSU.

This team hasn't overlooked ANYONE all season. That is why they are undefeated.

Let's just enjoy this team going 35-0 and finding out who their next opponent will be.

The boys are in the NCAA Tourny. The regular season and the MVC tourny were mere formalities for the team. If you think they are going to be less focused than thier best game to date, you might as well sit with ol' Goatlube. Remember the level of focus during the tourny run last year? You can't compare the tourny to the rest of the season, because the Shocks were hardly challenged for 34 games. They will destroy all comers.
That said, we don't know how benevolent HCGM is feeling. Will he put the bench in with 10 to play in both halves? If so, the spread will be 15-20. If he lets the boys play, I feel sorry for Cal Poly.

                    WSU- 80+
                    Cal Poly- 40

I appreciate those trying to be respectful, but the anonymous tweeter is right. We have been playing teams like this all year and they won't sneak up on us. This will be the 20th or so Superbowl in a row we've played. We are rested and focused. I foresee a curb stomping. +25 pre-Simon lead with a final margin of victory of 12 pts.

Cal Poly has the best KenPom numbers of the 16 seeds. Typical.

Not that it matters, but if we don't win this game by 15 or more points there will be even more discussion about how "overrated" we are. We need to pummel them and pummel them good. See Wisconsin and Michigan State yesterday for examples.

For anyone hosting WSU watch parties tonight, a good pregame activity might be taking in the Baseball Shox on ESPNU as they start the Valley schedule against MSU. First pitch at 5:30.

WSU athletics is kind of a big deal.

Maybe it's because so far none of the #1 seeds are blowing anyone out. Florida, the overall #1 seed, only won by 12.

Cal Poly is better than most on here think. There have not been very many blowouts. Shocks will win by <20. If Shocks shoot bad and don't turn the ball over from Poly, it'll be a very close game.
