  • Well, shizzle, they'd be stories on TV if Jenn Bates worked in Spokane instead of Wichita.

And yes, 1972 -- I also like the Pacific Northwest, especially from late May through the summer when it's usually still pleasant there long after it's become really hot in our part of the country. Even in winter it's refreshing to see things green and lush after the leaves fall off and it gets kind of barren and stark in Kansas. (Or probably in Maryland.)

    • I tell ya what, I would love to be carrying an umbrella around for a few days right around this time. Hope we get some meaningful rain in next couple of days.

So far everything I've seem says that the Lakers are interested in him and not the other way around. Let's hope that stays that way. I wish that the NBA would go back to ignoring college coaches.

There won't be any because Oregon State's basketball program isn't a dumpster fire. It is an underground coal vein fire that will never be extinquished.

Oregon State faces tall task in convincing good coach to take over miserable program

You would think that would be the case since current successful NBA coaches (granted players have a lot to do with it) have all been involved in professional basketball coaching for the majority of their career.

Off topic rejoinder, then I'll move on: I admit to not having visited Beaverland, although I've spent time around both Oregon and especially Washington. Still, according to various weather sites, Corvallis averages 43-44 inches of rain per year. That may not be rain forest precipitation, but by Kansas standards it's a bunch.

Since Gonzaga spends just shy of $6 million a year on basketball and Oregon St spends just shy of $4 million, I don't think they would get Mark Few's attention. http://www.bbstate.com/info/teams-hoopsbudget

                        • The one concern, that should help in recruiting of coaches, students, softball players, basketball & football players & make a fan of cheerleaders... where is there more Beaver than Ore. St.?

Pack your swimsuit and come splash the summer away on an Arkansas beach or swimming hole.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.
