How many raises is Mizzou going to get Matt Painter at Purdue? He got a nice juicy one during their last coaching search a few years ago when he flirted with Mizzou pretty hard. Then again, Purdue has some new administrators this time around that aren't particularly keen on his contract, and given the current situation at Purdue/state of the program, maybe he actually would think about moving on this time around.

Some on the Tigers Board seem to think that since Gregg hasn't come out and actually said he was not coming to Missouri that means Missouri is in negotiations with him. Will this never end. Now they are coming after our Asst. Coaches. Isn't losing one good assistant enough?

Marshall’s face to face interactions and conversations with recruits have 1000x more impact on a player’s opinion about Marshall’s likelihood of staying around for a while than does any generic statement his agent puts out. Saying that his agent should be fired for the statement he made is just plain silly.

The reason they think that isn't because of anything Marshall's agent says. It's because that's the conventional wisdom in regard to coaches outside the power conferences, perpetuated by rival recruiters who want to foster that type of uncertainty.

But Marshall doesn't operate according to the conventional wisdom.

One good answer is, how long has Mark Few been at Gonzaga? (Head coach since 1999, in case you're wondering.) He's had plenty of chances to leave, but he hasn't and isn't going to, so now people don't ask how long Few's going to be at Gonzaga. Well, Marshall's program is doing better than Gonzaga's is these days -- in fact, Few has never reached the round of eight, much less the Final Four -- and Marshall makes way more money than Few does. So why would he leave WSU? Tell the people who ask you that 3G isn't going anywhere -- because he isn't.

Mark Few hasnt left because no blue blood has knocked on his door...Oregon was the best job he might have considered, going home and all..but he declined too...Gregg Marshall knows the only job better then Wichita State is a blue blood, and he will wait till the cows come home for that..the only way he will get blue bloods a calling is if someone is on the hot seat and the continual success of Wichita State simultaneously...the stars would have to align for that to happen...which is possible because he has continual success...for now...im not worried..and many of you shouldnt be either.
