I assume you are making a statement on the difference between civil discussion of deferring opinions versus personal attacks. If so, the personal attacks are coming from more than any one poster. It generally takes two, or more, to tango. In many cases, posters (that's plural) would be doing the board a favor by simply ignoring certain comments or, at minimum, respond civilly. I have said before that I, too, have regretfully got caught up in the increased volume of attacking posts and posters. By the way, I'm not directing this to you or your post. I agree with the post.

I will also say that there are posts that JH4P will make that are in no way attacking a poster or disparaging the Shockers that are met by less than positive discussion. Simply because one usually disagrees with a poster or is holding on to a long ago statement is no reason to "attack" every post that person makes. Of course, JH4P, when that happens, you too might want to ignore when you know they are simply thumping their chest.

No. They will not come for Marshall and Marshall will not leave. His system is not for one and dones, and the important thing is, he knows it. He will not conform because he loves the game too much and has such a deep passion for the purity of the game. If Chris Jans had been hired at FGCU last year I would be concerned about UK, but he wasn't. Don't be concerned.

With the UK/Marshall rumors floating around now, it's pretty fun to see Marshall getting trashed (not terribly, I just lacked a better word right now) on other boards. Maybe I should get defensive when I see people with no clue talk about how abrasive he is, and how rumor is that he's a dick and not many AD's like him, but I can't do it. I'm too busy sitting here loving it and soaking it in with a giant smile on my face.

Hmmm. If Kentucky calls Marshall that phone gets answered. Marshall adapted his system when he joined the MVC and you can bet your bottom dollar he would make the adjustment with a fist full of 5 stars.
