  • What if Creighton made if farther than Wichita State in the NCAA tournament ? Just made me wonder because of how you guys mocked them losing in their conference tournament it could be karma coming back to bite you.

I am not making any prediction here I am just asking the question. I personally am not looking forward to playing you guys in the "3rd round" if we are lucky enough to even beat K-State because that means 1 of us has to lose but them are the cards that were dealt.

If we lose to K-State or lose to you guys I will be full on board hoping you win it all just like I was last year when you beat Ohio State.

I really find it a fascinating matchup should UK play you guys but I don't like how it is impossible for us both to make the Sweet 16.

But on the flip side UK is growing up fast and those 18 year old nearly bumped the #1 team in the country with 4 starting seniors to win the conference tourney.
I don't think the final score was indicative of the way the game went. FL was up 16 in the second half. If they weren't a terrible FT shooting team the final score wouldn't have been close.

You've irked me with a couple of your comments lately Henry. This one has irked me the most.

Try reading a Creighton board once in a while and then come back to me with the karma BS. You also have never had to deal with them in your conference and in person, so please spare us with the outsider garbage.

What if Creighton loses to Louisiana in the first game? That has a way better chance of happening than them outlasting us in the Tournament. Apparently, you are also unaware of Creighton's history or lack thereof in the NCAA's.

        ... No really, deuces.

The same could be said of your come back from 18 points to win. Or other examples. Hell, if UK hits free throws against MSU and several others, we'd be a 2 or 3 seed right now, but that's a part of the game. UK held Florida to 21 points 2nd half, that's something.

Regardless, if WSU wins against UK (if we even beat KSU) you guys get to have a chance to do something epic and beyond belief. And our fans won't discount any of it.

Whose power rankings had Kentucky as a 3 seed? Why should we do anything but laugh at the concept that someone had them ranked so high?

            • KenPom has them at 17, which is surprising given their 10 losses. But Tennessee is 13 on KenPom.

              • ABC, I don't disagree that Kentucky probably deserved better than an 8. However, 17 in KenPom equates to a 5 seed and most people would say that is a bit too favorable. Mentioning Kentucky as a 3 seed is laughable.

Wins and Losses don't matter that much to Pomeroy. For him it's mostly about points scored per possesion and points given up per possesion with big adjustments based on schedule.

I think Kentucky is seeded just fine.

Pomery is just one data set of course. More data is just three wins over the tourney all at home, coupled with ten losses, and thus, a #9 seed.

We get the "A" team this week with Jim Nantz and Greg Anthony. Doug Gottlieb is out in Spokane.

I'm kind of surprised by this. It would have been easy for CBS to place him in St Louis for some cheap theatrics, but instead they took the high road. Good for them.

                              • Given that two of the biggest fanbases in college basketball are at our site, CBS wants to put its best foot forward. Speaking of that, if KU, Wichita State, and Kentucky are still playing Sunday, I'd bet that both games Sunday will be on CBS, so we could be looking at afternoon time slots. Looking over the past couple of years since tournament coverage has expanded to the 4 channels, CBS has always had earlier time slots on Sunday, leaving the cable channels to show later games.
