Why would anyone want Cle going to the Spurs which would very much put him at risk of slipping out of the 1st round, meaning no guaranteed contract and at the very least costing him millions. Anyone in their right mind want to see him at #17 with the most storied franchise in the history of the game.

Had the opportunity to visit with the Suns owner. He mentioned his father in law lives in Pratt and goes to Shocker home games. Would someone please explain why Cle's age of 23 appears to always be commented on as a negative?
Most graduatiing seniors would be in the 21-23 age span. It might make more sense if he was 26-28, but 23?

Basically, a 19 year old coming out after his freshman year has 4 years to develop to Cle's talent level. Or, even though Cle will be a rookie, he needs to be able to compete against guys that have 2+ years in the NBA as he will be the same age.Originally posted by 60Shock View Post

Cle is 23 and still somewhat raw. He's a first rounder because he's tall, athletic and has 3 point range. His age is held against him because he isn't as polished as the other seniors coming out of the draft.Originally posted by 60Shock View PostComment

The GM, whom Marshall didn’t feel comfortable naming, relayed Early’s strong feelings about the basketball atmosphere and the family feeling he experienced at WSU.
“He was big-time impressed with Cle and things Cle had to say about his time here,” Marshall said. “That really made me feel good.”
