I checked out the channel on Roku. My impression is that this had more to do with they have a lot of games on WatchESPN and these channels are there to make it easier to find games.

Uggg. I fit the age demographic for people that SHOULD be more technically savvy but I still can't figure out the ESPN3 thing. It always asks me for my service provider, which is AT&T, but when I put the info in it never lets me watch. We don't have COX because we sort of live in the boonies so it's been a struggle. I just don't understand why I can't turn on the magic watching box and the road games will just be there for me.

Go to att.net and sign in on their website to make sure you have the proper username/password.

Do you have Uverse with a TV package or just DSL for Internet?

My concern about the ESPN3 move is that this is their way of covering non-BCS teams so they can give them less prime real estate (ESPN/ESPN2). That works out for 95% of the teams because they wouldn't get airtime anyway, but for seriously kick ass teams like the Shox that may not work to our benefit. Of course if we stay top 25 then we'll be just fine either way. But that's a big if.

We can't get DSL either believe it or not. I have AT&T as my mobile service provider and I use an aircard for internet service. We use Direct for TV service and everything is wrapped up under AT&T. I've got an online account for AT&T but I'm obviously still doing something wrong.

I apologize to everyone else for having to read through this.

Can you select "direct tv" as your service provider?

I'm not sure. I hadn't looked for it since I figured they weren't my actual internet provider but it's worth a try.

Try your DirectTV credentials at ESPN3.

ESPN3 is tied to your TV provider, not your internet provider.

That's awesome, thanks! That seems like a really simple answer. I'm really not an idiot....I just play one on SN.

I know several people in Wichita that get AT&T DSL only, and get all of the ESPN3 games that aren't blacked out locally. Same with cox customers that don't get cable, but cox isn't as consistent.

For those without login credentials or that can't watch live for whatever reason, all ESPN games are available on replay very soon after the end of the game...if you can wait that long.

The parent, ATT, has several divisions. Three of them are as follows:
                            1. ATT.com
                            2. ATT.net
                            3. ATT U-Verse

ATT U-Verse is the only ISP, which is approved by ESPN. ATT.com and ATT.net are not approved.

I have ATT.com. I cannot get access. ATT just does not want to pay the freight to ESPN. Of course, ATT will have to cave in. It is just a matter of time.

Ironically, ESPN Watch Now is powered by ATT U-Verse.

This is correct. If you have no cable/satellite provider then you can use your internet credentials only if it is approved by espn. They have to know where you are located so that they can appropriately black out the local games under contract.
