    Appreciate.
This is great. As I was taking my daughter to school this morning, I was telling her that when I was in school, it probablytook us 3 years to win 30 games...then I choked up!! I have tried to explain to her, as a 10 year old, how special this really is.

My hope is that her memories of it and sharing it in our family are as great as mine have been.

At one time I hoped we would be able to have a top 50 type team year in and year out and push to get to the ncaa every couple of years. I never dared to hope that the program would be where it is now and on a sustained level. Thank you Shocks and all of the fans that support all of our student athletes.
I used to play out in my mind a little race to see if the baseball team could eclipse the basketball team in wins before basketball season ended.

After the great years of Gene Smithson crashed down into probation, the Shocker faithful remained steadfast. There was always a core of 5,000-6,000 folks who stuck with the program. Coach Marshall and this great team of men have rewarded those long years of hope; it continues to be a great ride.

I love what Ron Baker said:
“I think this one will hit me when I’m 40 and watching college basketball myself as a spectator,”

It feels like that one magical week in the Cohen era, when WSU beat both Alabama and Oklahoma State. You know, if that one week had lasted an entire season...

Yep, that. No disrespect to this thread at all. After all, the team's theme this year is to "appreciate", and that's what we're doing here.

But 10 games from now this place is going to explode, and I can't wait.

                And this:
Wichita State has back-to-back 30-win seasons. That’s never happened.
The Shockers are one game away from finishing the Missouri Valley Conference season unbeaten. That’s never happened.
WSU finished off Bradley on Tuesday night by 20 points and now has 59 conference wins in the past four seasons. That’s never happened.
