I don't disagree but then who would FVV guard at 5'11"? Their other guards are 6-6 and 6-7 - not particularly skilled though.


Don't take this post as saying we couldn't beat SDSU cause I certainly believe we would beat them more often than not but athletically they are probably the most athletic team in all of CBB.

This radio guy has never watched us play. The only thing SDSU does well is get offensive rebounds. Thames is the only guy on their team that can shoot. Unfortunately for them, the one thing Coach Marshall's teams have always done is limit the opponent to one shot.

Easy to make statements like that when San Diego State likely wouldn't have a shot at playing us until the Final Four. And they aren't likely to get that far.

With Boise expected to fall out of the top 50, SDSU is 2-2 against the RPI top 50, 6-3 against the top 100. We're 2-0 against the top 50, 7-0 against the top 100. Their two top 50 wins are better than our two, but that's all they have on us.

There's a reason every statistical measure weighted for opponent has them far, far behind us. Not worried about a guy trying to get attention or a team that we are better than.

My counter is who would guard FVV?? He is too fast and controlled for them. Just look at last years NCAA, he played against bigger players all tournament.
