If speed kills, why doesn't everyone driving in the Daytona 500 die?

If you're not on the Shocker bandwagon you get left behind. When you get left behind, you become a KU fan. When you become a KU fan, you begin to think you're better than everyone else and become delusional. When you become delusional, you start believing in fictional birds and telling everyone about them. When you start telling everyone about fictional birds, you end up in a straight jacket. When you end up in a straight jacket, you make lots of new friends who are also in straight jackets. When all your friends are in straight jackets, there's no one to help you survive a flood.

Don't drown in a flood. Get on the Shocker bandwagon.

                    brown shoes

I am old enough to remember this quote from George Gobel on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. I think he was referring to Burt Reynolds, who was also on the show (and at the height of his career, before all the cosmetic surgery). This is in reference to the " brown shoes" post.

George was absolutely one of the best and I never even saw a night club act where he could lit it go. Well, "the old clock on the wall...

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

Here's the thing that has been bugging me for a while, and forgive me if this has already been discussed to death somewhere, but I'm really sick of people complaining about our schedule this year, especially when you look and see that we didn't have control over a fair bit of it.

1.) Valley isn't great this year. Not our fault

2.) CBE Tournament ended up being a dud, especially when other team dropped out and we got stuck with Tennessee State and William & Mary. Add in BYU, who hasn't amounted to what we were hoping for, and the CBE did very little to help our SOS, through no fault of our own. Weren't we originally supposed to have stronger teams come visit for the opening games of the CBE before they dropped?

3.) How many of our games this year were return games from previous contracts? Davidson, Tulsa, Oral Roberts, and Tennessee? I don't know all the details with how those things work out, but I know for sure that Davidson and Tennessee were return games.

4.) That leaves our non-con schedule at Emporia State, WKU, SLU, Alabama, and NC Central as games that we had control over. NCCU is leading the MEAC, WKU is traditionally a tourney team, and SLU was obviously a great pick up. Sure Alabama hasn't done anything in the SEC this year, and ESU is ESU, but overall, the games we had control over seem to be decent games.

So I just don't understand the hate. I know that all the analysts don't take the time to look at the logistics behind our scheduling, but if they did, they would see that we were already locked into some of these RPI bottom feeder games, and maybe there wouldn't be so much questioning of our schedule. I don't know.
Three things in life are constant- death, taxes, and Creighton losing in the first weekend of the tournament.

                        AAC or Bust!

                          I like lamp.
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

And didn't we put Emporia State on the schedule because no one wanted to play us in Dallas?
