I think it needs to be said that there is a difference between celebrating on the court after a win, and a court storming.

A court storm happens when an underdog beats a superior team. It's frantic, it's rushed, it's spontaneous. Typically led by the student section.

Celebrating on the court is what happens when a team superior to it's current competition, wins, and the fans move to the court after the game to cut down a net. It's planned, it involves all fans, it's a party cause you're cutting down a net.

There is a difference between storming the court after a championship or in Post Season play, etc.

Storming the court for a regular season game should not be tolerated.

If they would like to lose to an in-state basketball team on their home court, and not see the court stormed, that option is available to them.
