I don't think people realize the amount of planning that go into a College Gameday. I've been to two and it's a MASSIVE undertaking and one that can't easily be changed at a whim.
ESPN brings out 3D cameras, cater a meal for students the day before the game to get shots for advertisements, have ex-military personnel guarding their equipment (largest men I've ever seen), they make School specific "State-Farm" gear, etc. etc. They have 4-5 30 foot robotic controlled boom cameras. There is literally not a single camera that is operated by a camera-man for gameday. It's all robotic boom controls. They set up massive speakers for the crowd to be able to hear what the analysts are saying. I could go on.
Not to mention the school who is hosting gameday has probably prepared several give-aways (T-Shirts etc) for months in advance.
There is no way in hell game-day reschedules. NONE.
Before there is a time crunch and it disrupts the routine. After they can take the appropriate amount of time with each senior and do it right!
"I not sure that I've ever been around a more competitive player or young man than Fred VanVleet. I like to win more than 99.9% of the people in this world, but he may top me." -- Gregg Marshall 12/23/13 :peaceful:
--------------------------------------- Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare: "We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".
A physician called into a radio show and said: "That's the definition of a stool sample."
Does anyone know why they decided to move the senior day celebration to after the game? God forbid if we should lose the game -- how many "devoted" fans do you think will stay to honor our seniors considering we have some that decide getting out of the parking lots is more important than seeing the end of the game? I, for one, will be there until the end and beyond. Just one more reason for our guys to make sure they win.
"Hank Iba decided he wouldn't play my team anymore. He told me that if he tried to get his team ready to play me, it would upset his team the rest of the season." Gene Johnson, WU Basketball coach, 1928-1933.
Anyone leaving this game early (win or loss) without a documented and validated excuse should have their season tickets revoked. I know that I would give up just about anything I own to be able to make the trip down to Wichita for this game

Any fan that leaves early this Saturday deserves a nut kick, followed by a kidney punch.

There will be some who will early. Even before the game is over. However, I think that will be a relatively small number of folks. I was impressed with how many fans hung around for the net cutting ceremony after the Drake game. I think we will have a good crowd hang around for the senior celebrations as long as they do a good job of letting the crowd know what's happening.
Really? I guess I will have to take the kick/punch. It is going to be all I can do health wise to make it through the game. I want to stay but I doubt I will be able to.
I wouldn't take it personal, really...we will give you a pass.
