I feel like hijacking Gameday is a great idea. What I don't think will happen is people driving down to Stillwater before our game. What I do feel like should, and could happen however, is having asocial media slogan to round up the troops and fly off into the interwebs that students, fans, people watching the game, etc. could use to highlight our game and overshadow the garbage game going on in Stillwater. Something like #therealgameday . I think if someone came up with a good social media tag for our game it could draw a lot of attention and get us to "trend" more than we already are.

Your right, not enough time to get to Stillwater then back to Wichita for the “Shocker Festivus” and of course “THE GAME!!!” However, there is no reason that we could not create our own GAMEDAY.

Someone needs to contact the marketing class that had the WSU Professor that was trying to get ESPN to move from Stillwater to Wichita and have them start a marketing campaign that has our local TV stations like KAKE, KSN, KWCH, or all three of them (or heck maybe even ABC or NBC if they are really brave) to host a “Shocker Gameday”. They could use Charles Koch Arena from 9:00 am to 10:00 am for the event. If Koch is not available for whatever reasons, then they could move it to the Heskett Center or maybe Henrion Hall if the Gymnasium is still usable?

Here is what the Shockers are currently competing against on ESPN on March 1st:

12:00 PM ET #7 Cincinnati at #21 Connecticut
4:00 PM ET #1 Syracuse at #14 Virginia or Illinois at #13 Michigan State
6:00 PM ET #18 Kentucky at South Carolina
9:00 PM ET #8 Kansas at Oklahoma State

CBS is also showing the following game:
2:00 PM ET #11 Louisville at #22 Memphis

      Just my initial thoughts.

If that's the case, our 1 o'clock (2 o'clock ET) slots in between the Cincy/Uconn and Syracuse/Virginia games perfectly.

Please, Please don't do this! It will just confirm what people think of us nationally. That we are small time and have a major inferiority complex. It has the feeling of the little kid setting up his lemonade stand next to the big department store. "Ah, isn't that cute. Wichita State made their own little GameDay show".
If you want to be considered a big time program you have to act like one. That includes the fans.

I see on the schedule on the ESPN app that this game is on the flagship. Who will call the game? Does Dukie V finally get his wish?

I only caught some of "Game Day" yesterday, but it seemed they spent a fair amount of time on the Arizona-Colorado game, kind of a half game-day.

Did anyone else see this? If so, I could certainly see something similar for the WSU-MU game especially since the KU-OSU game will not be of much national or even regional interest.

Depends if Dook or NC is playing anyone.

I remember Mark Adams tweeting that he was going to be calling the game. Not sure who else.

On the espn site it still doesn't list who is playing at 2pm ET (1pm CST): http://espn.go.com/espntv/onair/inde...01-14-12:00-PM

They should add Dickie V and Bill Walton. All color guys and no play-by-play. Their collective heads will surely burst when we win!

Ughh, was hoping we could get the Bilastratot after GameDay is over

Does anyone know why they decided to move the senior day celebration to after the game? God forbid if we should lose the game -- how many "devoted" fans do you think will stay to honor our seniors considering we have some that decide getting out of the parking lots is more important than seeing the end of the game? I, for one, will be there until the end and beyond. Just one more reason for our guys to make sure they win.

We have come out horribly the last few years on Senior Day.

I would not worry about the crowd on Saturday. They have been great all season, and will be hoping to see something truly special. Something that can't be properly appreciated until the clock is at 0:00.

Well, I'm guessing they did that to allow the team to keep the exact same pre-game routine they have had all season. Having the celebration before last year's game against Evansville didn't work out so great. And in my opinion it can distract the team a bit from the task at hand.
You miss 100% of the shots you don't take....

.....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.

Never understood having senior festivities before the game. After is much better.
