Can't stand to listen to the 2nd, 3rd and 4th string Dickie V, wanna-be's that ESPN always assigns to our games.

ANGRY TIPOFF. HYPERBOLE. ANGRY SHOT. HYPERBOLE. ANGRY PASS. HYPERBOLE. ANGRY REBOUND. HYPERBOLE. ANGRY FREE THROW. ---HYPERBOLE HALFTIME---. ANGRY SHOT. HYPERBOLE. ANGRY PASS. HYPERBOLE. ANGRY REBOUND. HYPERBOLE. ANGRY FREE THROW. HYPERBOLE SIGN OFF.

No thanks. Listening to those ESPN meatheads is even worse than reading ShockerNet. I think I'll just listen to Mike and Bob instead.

@TheDover1018: and I were discussing during the game how we hate the hype that Tuttle gets all the time, because he really doesn't seem all that special. He's good, yes. But quit bowing down to the guy.

Tuttle is a good player and might be first team this year. He's not as long and athletic as our guys, but he's certainly a player I'd take on the Shockers.

He did drop 3 on us at home. So there's that.

Slab Jones - what a GREAT name. Ole Slab was playing at NMSU when I started attending Shocker games in college. I always loved that name. Slab. Just say it a few times. Slab. "Hey, Slab, gimme some skin."

Only 1 UNI name on the top 50 list - Ben Jacobsen - so can we put Tuttle on the UNI top 10?

That's a great top 50 list in it's own right and I'm glad this thread was started just to see that and remember some of the old days.

Anyone else remember Benoit Benjamin of Creighton? Big Ben or sometimes Gentle Ben he was called. He just seemed to shuffle effortlessly up and down the court. But when he got to the other end, he would set up wherever and however he wanted - the 3 second rule be damned!

                  Jason Daisy
                  Eric Coleman

That's a good list. But if the actual point was that Tuttle could finish as one of the 10 best players ever for UNI, that's probably true.

There are, minimum, four players for WSU right now that will be ahead of him in the list of the best players in Valley history, though. And Carter might be better next year than Tuttle will ever be, too.

Maybe the context was current Valley teams? Reaching I know but it's all I got given the insanity of the comment.

I remember X throwing down a breakaway right on his head. Yeah. I remember Benoit.

Seth Tuttle will go down as one of the 10 greatest players in Valley history that have the first name of Seth.

It wasn't Mark Adams that said it.

However, did anyone hear Adams' joke about Grant Gibbs being the oldest player in college basketball, that he was at least 45 years old? He made it during Drake vs ISUb last night.

I saw Gibbs in the CU v. SJ game yesterday. Gibbs could easily pass for 30+. He looked old and tired. He might have been playing with an injury.
