For those coming up, a band of snow is passing through Iowa now. Roads are pretty much okay but still be careful.

I still hold out hope that eventually Evan Wessel will find his shot, though maybe not this season. Marshall made a comment before the start of last year that Wessel might be our best defender, and I really enjoy watching his effort and intensity when he's on the court. The more offense Evan Wessel can show, the less minutes we'll need Baker to play before the tournament.

OK pogo, goading me are you? I didn't forget RB - just know its not worth
mentioning my minority view any more, but since you brought it up I do
think it's wise to take opportunities to rest him when we can. Anyone who
has played knows that the propensity for injury increases with exhaustion.

The Shockers are clearly the better team. However, the better team doesn't always win. The concern in this game is the great equalizer in college basketball he 3-point basket. UNI has shown the ability (especially at home) to rain down threes on their opponents. The Shocks OTOH certainly are capable of taking that away from an opponent. Take away the 3-point attack from the Panthers and they are pretty much de-clawed.

Buss only scored 5 points in game 1, so it's not like he put up big numbers against us. We held them to 21% from beyond the arc and our FT defense kept them to 63%. However, they also got off to a quick start and early lead. UNI has lost the last 2 games. It will be interesting to see how they respond, will they come out draining 3s or will they lose the will to fight. On a side note, looking at last years Valley losses, the bright side is we use those loses to keep us motivated during these "Dog Days of the schedule" (to quote Mike K).
I vote for draining the life out of them. Think Boa Constrictor.
Shockers 77
Really Frozen Tundra 64

My heart thinks that Early goes close to career mode. I am seeing in my cryatal ball a 30 & 10 type performance.
UNI plays with their hair on fire to start. Keeps it close but the Shox extend late and win.

I get Tired and I get sick of underestimating our beloved Shocks. This was a tough, tough road swing but yet we still won the both of them.
I am Ready for Carter to join the starters again. He looked solid and made a su-weet and positive impact for us with Cle in foul trouble.Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

We need an additional threat.
