If you like Mexican food they are as thick in Springfield as Starbucks in Seattle. Not totally sure why that is the case.

My wife and I were in Springfield for the WSU-MSU Volleyball game before heading up to KC for the CBE Classic.

Before the match we ate at a little Italian place called Bambino's just south of campus. It's not real big and it was very busy on that Friday before Thanksgiving. I would recommend it but you probably need to be there by 5:00 pm on game night.

We also ate at Jim's Steakhouse & Pub and also recommend it, but I would recommend making a reservation if you are going at prime time.

We had ReRico Brazillian Grill on our list but didn't make it. I would probably hit that place if and when we make it back to Springfield.

With school back in session the nearest parking will likely be the parking garages. Both are roughly 4 blocks away. If you get there early enough there are a few public spots near the arena but are usually taken about an hour and half before tip.

There is a parking garage straight north of JQH on Cherry Street - It's a great place to park. Like Ag said - it's about 3 - 4 blocks from the front door. If you have your tickets - you can also enter at the west end of the building and save a few steps.

Will be traveling with my 2 young sons.....Does anyone know coach's policy on visiting the locker rooms after road wins? How long do you have to wait after the game, etc?

Everyone knows there are no locker rooms in JQH! Joking there are but the visiting team dresses under Hammons so it's a bit of a walk.

Fun trip. Most if not all SWMS fans were nice, even had one tell us to have a safe drive home. Only complaint was the DB security that wouldn't let the fans back after the game. Boys missed out but fun had by all.
