Eh, I prefer a place off the beaten path. A place about 25 miles south of Springfield called Rockaway Beach. Best stone oven pizza out there (I have had Il vicino, and many of the other ones).

It is literally in the cellar of an old building on Lake Taneycomo. Worth the trip down, wife can take the 8 mile drive in to Branson to do some shopping or whatever afterward.

    It's called La Pizza Cellar.

Here's the deal. I have a prediction. We win. However, road wins don't always come easy in this here Valley Of Shock. Thus, we shant and won't take the Bears lightly. They have been up and down but everybody in the Valley would luv to rain on our Parade. 17-0 it will be. We are Not satisfied!!!

Shocks play angry like Lions and Tigers but not Bears--oh my--70

Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

Long time reader but first time poster here. Is there a way to get tickets in a WSU section for this game? What about Valley road games in general? I called WSU ticket office and they said to go through MSU. Appreciate the tips.

I hear their pep band breaks out the banjos after the game, so be careful on your way out.

Ok, here is a list of my favorite eating places in Springfield :

            Re Rico @ 65 & Battlefield - Brazilian Grill
Lamberts @ 65 & CC in Ozark, MO - Country Fried Artery clogging food with throw'd rolls
Bair's is very close to JQH and has great burgers - it reminds me of AJs in Wichita
Mother's and Springfield Brewery are both very good with great atmosphere
Hemmingway's (located inside of Bass Pro) has a excellent buffet and a great deal on crablegs.

If you go to Branson - Texas Land & Cattle at Branson Landing is the best steakhouse in the area

I'm planning to stop by Harbell's after the game.

            I almost forgot

A few other local favorites are Ocean Zen, Touch, Flo and Farmer's Gastropub (although they just changed locations).

There's also a new Metropolitan Farmers on the south side of town that is absolutely incredible.

Hoping for a good game. Safe travels and, please... NO banjos here. This isn't Carbondale.

I've eaten at Lamberts several times and it is a great experience.

Tell me more about Ricos and Metropolitan Farmers.

The hospital didn't like my wife's schedule and now has her working Saturday night. So no road trip to Springfield for me this year.

Unless it is part of an organized trip like the Alumni Association, I usually stake out seats as close as I can find to our bench. Most of the other fans do the same, I believe.

There are some pretty good seats still available here http://purchase.tickets.com/buy/Tick...se?pid=7604196

From what I can tell, there are only single seats in the lower bowl. I'm pretty sure that Shockernation will be well represented. 9000 tickets sold for this game. That will be the largest crowd at JQH this season. The Bears have only been drawing 4 - 5000.
