  • K State Series?

May happen in the near future. Sounds like Weber would be willing to do a game at the Sprint Center

    I love this line:

He said he and K-State administrators talked last spring about the possibility of trying to set up a game with the Shockers at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Mo

.Then (point guard) Angel (Rodriguez) left

So basically he has to think he's going to win the game to schedule it?

At least Weber isn't being a total v like someone else in the state. If we get a game are we allowed to call it the Sunflower Showdown?

Sounded to me like Weber wanted a game at Sprint as a home game for KSU, meaning they control the tickets.

If that is the case I would guess Marshall would decline and I would agree with him.

If it is truly a neutral game, then that is a different thang.

Honest response. I understand why he would not have wanted to do it this year, with those players leaving. Doesn't prove much for them or us if one team is no good. We got that in spades this year with Bama, Tennessee, Western Kentucky, BYU and Davidson all not being as good as we hoped. Seems ironic that the one team who wouldn't play us becuase they thought they might not be good is better than expected...

Bruce's lack of nads is showing with Angel Rodriguez thing. I guess even he believed that wasn't a good enough recruiter to go ahead and get a series scheduled. Sad thing is, his freshmen look pretty dang solid and a series would be very nice for the next several years. Golly Gee, Beaver! If I had only known I wasn't such a dunce! I think this will happen. I might have to draw up a pre game divorce moratorium agreement, 'cause me and the Mrs. might have some marital strife!

I will be one very, very happy Shocker fan if we can kick off series against UConn and KSU next year.

Makes sense though...why schedule a game you know you have little chance of winning? Although, KU football has that problem when scheduling.

Let them. There would be 10,000 really cheap tickets and Shox get paid! We would still outnumber thier fans 2-1.

I wish I could agree with you but I can't. As stated in the article, KSU drew 17,000 for Florida.

No, that sounds like something associated with soccer.

Now let me get this straight. Bob Lutz wrote this article? Somehow it just didn't smack of ku lovin' Bob. It actually sounded like Bob was calling out the ku coach and in my eyes called him gutless but thats just they way I read it. But then again my reading comprehension skills have really diminished since I joined this web site.
