The game is on WatchESPN in replays. Give it a watch. Ron lacked elevation, sure. But he also threw up some poorer than normal shots, even for him.

I don't doubt you. His shot selection just didn't jump out at me while I was watching, but what did (especially against Davidson) was that he can't get off the ground.

Against UNI, sans for maybe a few of their players, there is no need to over help because it should take only one player to stop a drive by UNI.

They are quicker at some positions, but I'd take my chances with them shooting contested running BS than over helping and giving up 3's.

Washpun and Mitchell are their only quick players. They also have a long, athletic freshman wing off the bench. Morgan, I think. Tuttle is good, not great and Bohannon is dangerous if he's hitting 3s.

An intelligent decision on whether to rest Baker or not cannot be made on the sidelines of a message board. There are too many parameters involved. We have to trust the training and coaching staff to know what to do. The training staff must be monitoring whether the injury is becoming worse or getting better.

I will say that Baker adds to this team in so many ways with his intelligence, experience, toughness, ball handling, etc. It would be nice if he was totally healthy.

The mere fact that he is playing at all should provide a source of inspiration to the team. He is a tough character and valuable contributor...besides, with all the head shots he's taken the last two years, playing on a hurt ankle may be nothing.

I am not worried about Ron playing with the bum ankle. As others have said, the trainers have full knowledge of what they are doing. Considering that there is a young man with our program who wouldn't be alive without our trainers, I figure that I don't need to question their expertise. Todd has forgotten more about medical matters than I know, so I'll trust his judgment.

Here's the deal. Today, I walked into a fish parlor and complimented a gal with WSU garb on. She had to chuckle because I had my own WSU garb on as well. Even so, I was wearing this attire when we were going through the lows and now the highs and proud of it every step along the trek.
