Yea, probably so. Also helps to explain the FT disparity a little bit.

    • This team sure knows how to win. Would be fun to win big big big. I know quit complaining, but just like any good team I am never satisfied.

14-0. What were the odds on that outside of Wichita.
Where oh where is our T. Boone Pickens.

Any guesses on how far it falls in about 2 minutes when the results update?
RPI goes to .6348, SOS falls from 100 to 141.

        Thanks, MVC.

I think it makes a team complacent...and we see the results of it taking your foot off the throat of your opponent.

                  • Shox will see lots of teams attacking the rim this year going for those easy FTs. They will need to adjust to that. Three players with 4 fouls tonight including FVV. Considering that Darius was MIA much of the game in foul trouble, the other two bigs did a good job holding the fort. 14 points, 9 rebounds and 2 blocks from the committee.

FVV is going to have to watch those fouls. We do bog down a bit when he is out.

Nick was huge tonight. 13 points and 2 steals. Need him contributing every single night.

                    Good first win.

Anybody complaining about the second half may be overreacting a bit. The Shox were pretty much playing clock the entire second half. The game was never in doubt. Marshall doesn't like to run up scores if it can be avoided.

If the Shox are ever beating Bradley by 30 half-way through the second half, he'll call off the horses - unlike some **ahem** UNI **ahem** teams.

I don't see a reason to be upset that the Shox didn't embarrass or humiliate the Dawgs. they certainly could have done that.

                      • I guess considering Ron had the worst game of his career and we still won by double-digits on the road against a team shooting way above their heads from 3, I'll take it.

                          • Seems like the Shocks decided to Play Happy tonight, probably in deference to Barry's personal situation. Hard to want to pound a guy who has just lost his son-in-law. Personally, I thought we took the air out of the ball way to early, but Shocks are 1 road win up on the rest of the league.

14-0. But no way will we go undefeated with that kind of defensive effort. Really, kind of a ho-hum game even though SIU actually played pretty well.

Just can't get used to seeing other teams torch us like that.

But happy with the win. 1 down 17 to go.
