As a "non-bcs" school, it is a little far fetched to think that WSU could ever win the national championship . But most of us fans on here believe we can(even before our final 4 run last year).
Each year has brought new hope that this would be the year.
Now that WSU has been to the final 4 and had a very good chance of winning it all and we find our team as one of the last 9 teams in the country to be undefeated, why not shoot for the stars again? WSU will be wearing a target on it's back all season. But what the opponents don't realize is Marshall will have his team seeing their opponents with a target on their back!
One opponent at a time, one half at a time. Lets do this!!!Marge: The plant called and said that if you don't come in tomorrow, don't bother coming in Monday.
Homer: WOOHOO! Four day weekend.

You think WSU being undefeated during post season play will be too much pressure on them and prefer them not having that monkey on their back when they get there. In other words, you'd prefer WSU to lose before March? Did I miss anything? If I did, please enlighten us.

lol at anyone acting like going undefeated would be a net negative.
We'd get more pub in the 2013-14 regular season than all regular seasons combined in program history. We'd finish ranked #1. The fanbase would swell and donations would pour in. We would be the most attractive we have ever been to any potential conference suitors.
Some extra pressure? Sure. These kids and this coach showed last March that they handle pressure pretty well though.
I can tell you with 100% certainty whether Gregg Marshall would rather be 34-0 and a 1 seed in March vs. 32-2 and a 3 seed.

Common sense says nothing has changed in one week as to the Shocks chances to go undefeated.

I'll be very pleased just to be undefeated at 5 pm today and plan to enjoy this moment"I not sure that I've ever been around a more competitive player or young man than Fred VanVleet. I like to win more than 99.9% of the people in this world, but he may top me." -- Gregg Marshall 12/23/13 :peaceful:

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".
A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

The earlier data skewed unduly positive in how good our wins were (or seemed to have skewed). That has been adjusted with the new data points of our opponents losing.
Valley wins might have further reduced our chances by clarifying the other half of our incomplete knowledge--how good are our remaining opponents but unfortunately that doesn't seem to be the main cause of the movement.Shocker Nation, NYC

If you came to me and said "Rosewood, the Shox will lose one game in the regular season. Do you want it at home or away?" I think I'd rather have it at home even though I'd be paying to watch it. The thought of tens of students storming the court at Evansville gives me heartburn.
