    nccu

if i were grading the game id give us an A- for the first half and a C+ in the second. I thought ncc zone was a lot more active in the second trying to collapse around our bigs(who had their way first half). But what i liked was how we got the big lead, then when they made their run we answered with key baskets from our big guns, Fred with the nifty left hand dipsey do, what a play, and Ron with the big 3 when the shot clock was runing out to get it back to 10. Darius was a stud tonight, and Cle had a great first half.....12-0 what a nice present....merry christmas shocks!!!

This thread much appreciated - - since the game was carried by *NO* TV channel in the KC area. I had to log on here to find out how the game was progressing. Thanks, guys!

Game was on Time Warner's Metro Sports Channel as are any of the games on Cox 22.

I like how we once again held a team back (espn headlines) and how this game was close (7 points without the ball was as close as they got). These are great problems to have at 12-0.

Was it just me or did anyone else feel like they were watching a different team in the first half?

I think I have a fairly good handle on how good (or not good) this team is, and outside of making some shots, I thought they were incredible in the first half. The way the moved the ball, executed, played defense, got out and ran.....I was amazed.

Second half was a let up and Baker had an uncharacteristic 4 turnovers, and I also thought UNCC was excellent, but still, this team has so much room to grow and improve....I don't think they've even approached their ceiling yet.

              And that makes me happy.

              Merry Christmas everyone.

Seemed to me that Coach wanted the letup, rather than an embarrassing win margin.

The only time it seemed to me that they let up was when they allowed the game clock to run out at the end of the game.

My two thoughts (not necessarily legible thoughts) are:

Carter is "THE" fit for our starting 5 man.

I was so happy and proud of Cle for not "settling" as has been his MO unfortunately in the first half. No, he didn't make all his three's, but they were generally good shots. What he did do is use his God given ability to be a "triple threat" type of player that he is. If Cle continues to use his tool box this team will experience great heights.

Hope we keep these guys on the schedule. Tough team that coaches and plays to win. I think they will be pretty solid as long as Moton is there.

No doubt that young man does a lot with a little, although someone needed to help him with that tie......

Perhaps his non clip-on tie was in his checked baggage. I chalked several things last night up to those fellas having a looong weekend. His comments in the paper regarding wanting to play WSU every year to show his team what toughness looks like; how can you not like that in a coach?

Did anyone else notice that their female assistant would yell every time our guys were shooting free throws? Totally classless.

The collar portion of his tie looked to be on steroids.
