3 keys. 1. FVV-floor general--2. We got lots of offensive rebounds 3. We drew lots of fouls and will normally make a much better %.

Ingram was an offensive scoring machine. I can see how the Eagles defeated NC State on the road. Remember many moons ago it was rumored NC State was considering trying to hire 3G? Their basketball board members made very snarky comments about Marshall to the tune that they deserved so much better for their big time Program. Whatever.

Lufile's step back happened the same time that Carter found his game. Different players react in different ways to losing PT because one of their teammates starts playing better.

Speaking of Carter, I really like him in the starting line-up for a few reasons. With him starting, that seems to be our best 5 players thus far on the court together. Next, it gets 4 starters groomed to return next Season. Losing Cle will be a hit, but returning 4 starters that played alot together with be a plus.

I think if I would scroll back a year, I'd find some threads questioning whether our Sr perimeter players were showing the BBIQ we expect from upperclass players.

One thing is certain, I'm seeing very few ill-advised plays from the perimeter. I am seeing an ability (or is it a willingness) to feed the interior guys. This year seems to be the best in the Marshall era of the perimeter guys being willing and able to feed the interior guys.

Great first half, frustrating second half. But every time NCCU got close, we had daggers to answer them. That is the key IMO to why we're such a great team. Multiple daggers from multiple players. It's happened in every close game so far.

The one thing I questioned was why we stopped going down low to Carter and early in the second half. They were dominating them in the first half, even when they zoned. I know they made some adjustments, but that's where we needed to go. A little frustrating that we settled for a lot of bad perimeter shots this game.

If Ingram is just held to his average and we don't choke away a few free throws, this is a boring 20 point win.

NCCU is good though. Let's hope they mow through the meac.

12-0 for Christmas and a Top 10 ranking in the morning. Pretty freaking awesome.

I think the zone was just that good for NCCU in the second half. I sit above that basket and there just wasn't room to cleanly feed the post.

Ingram is a player and certainly made his shots, but the defense on him could have been a lot better.

Baker had a huge 3 or things could have really got interesting at the end.

Lufile acts as though he is suddenly lost. Not sure what has happened after he was playing so well.

Time for a well served break. They are have earned it.

                          That is all.
Not sure if you mean "defensive scheme" could've been better, but if so, I agree. I thought a match up zone was a strange animal to play against those guys, but what do I know. I'm sure it was concerning that Ingram gets to the line so much and he also normally only shoots 30% from three.
