    We're 11 games over .000. We're 5-and-a-half games over .500

I get what you are saying since games are essentially a two-game swing, but he is right. Think of it as if we had a loss at this point and were 10-1. We'd be nine games over .500. We'd have to lose 9 games to get back to .500.

From the KC Star last September, "The Kansas City Royals beat the Chicago White Sox 4-1 and finished the 2013 season 86 and 76—ten games over .500."
      Semantics.

Freaking a 3rd grade production. Looks very high schoolish when it happens every freaking game.
        1. Mismanagement
        2. Old outdated equipment
        3. Nobody cares
        4. Same-o for years and years
        5. I will never forget Mike Kennedy's outburst.

            • 1. I thought travel call on Lufile was baloney.
              2. Gloomiest picture of the game occurred, when the camera panned the Shocker bench and there was three gloomy faced magpies named Cle, Ron and Fred. I became gloomy too.
              3. The most disappointing aspect of the season for me is Nick's three ball make percentage. It just does not make any sense to me.
              4. I hate phantom fouls.
              5. Thank goodness for AL dumb fouls in the back court.
              6. My new fav player is #12 on your scorecard and #1 in my heart.
              7. When AL went to zone, the Shocks never had a glazed look. They took 5 seconds for defense recognition and then they knew how to attack. When the opponent throws up a zone, compare this year's reaction to last year's reaction. Night and day.
              8. Mr. Releford was a handful. Very fine player.

                • Upon further review, Lufile did travel. He slid his pivot foot just a skosh. The infraction was so minimal, the call is not usually made.

Several years ago, maybe four or five, Mike became very unhappy because the equipment kept knocking his broadcast off the air. He was at the height of his frustration, when the broadcast was restored. While on the air, he commented in a most agitated tone that the equipment was old and unreliable and no one seemed to care.

My recall of his quote probably is not perfect, but it is pretty close.

Yup. I remarked to a friend that is a picture you never want to see. Unless you are up by 20.

That's criminally ignorant. Toledo is the "unknown unbeaten." We're a top 10 team. Seriously, who knew Toledo was unbeaten? Only unbeaten team not getting a single vote in the Coach's poll, and only three in the AP.

13 unbeaten teams left. Nine of those in the top 13 of the Coach's poll and top 17 of the AP. Only two unranked. Only four undefeated teams are ranked ahead of us.

*Make that 12, as UConn just dropped their first.

Back in the early 80's, the power was disconnected for the second time at Drake by the maintenance crew. Somehow through the technical imperfections that apparently exist after power is lost on a radio broadcast, Mike's f-bomb was heard throughout the KNSS/KAKZ listening area. Luckily our Hall-Of-Fame broadcaster didn't suffer the same consequence as the KSN anchor did this past weekend.

Mike actually had good reason to be mad and to let loose. The guy at channel 3 just wanted to go home. Now he gets to stay there.

                            • I was just checking an Alabama message board to get their take on the game. There wasn't nearly as much negativity toward their coach as Tennessee had but there definitely was quite a bit. (Interestingly enough they do have a thread about wanting Bruce Pearl to be their basketball coach -that is very similar to the TN fans).

I did like this post made by one of their posters with about 2 minutes left in the game: I have to say, win or lose, this has been the best played game of this year, IMHO...

                              • So is Alabama going to return the game here next year? Will it be the IBA game or does WSU get a bigger name for that?
