  • UL-Lafayette makes it. Any chance we play Kadeem's old team in the first round?

    • The Georgia Dome is a morgue for this game. Why do they play this tournament there.

      • If Michigan State beats Michigan, then looks like Virginia will grab that 4th No. 1 seed.

          • Not sure, I believe the seeds are set by now, there was a problem with the late Sunday games few years ago affecting seeding.

Not sure why conferences play into Sunday.

Because CBS wants it that way...

Pretty much. This way they can have the Big Ten title game followed by a brief postgame leading right into the selection show. It's been that way for a number of years, and the committee has separate brackets set up for the different outcomes.

So I'd mostly agree with fansicne80s that the seeds are set by now regardless. But it's just up to the outcomes of these last 2 games to determine which version of the finalized seeds becomes the 'real' or 'official' one.

Because even during basketball season the SEC will still always revolve around football

Going to the line to cut it even further

I understand what you mean, but every year there will be teams that are underseeded. We were a nine last year. VCU was a 12 two years ago.

They had a guy on ESPN last night, Sheehan I think was his name, was oversaw the selection process for may years and he basically confirmed what you have described.

Sounds like a familiar strategy thats worked for us against inferior opponents......

                                I don't like it.
