Fortunately, no metric is used to directly determine seeds.
And for the record, since it was brought up in this topic, Lunardi has always been a mediocre bracketologist. Having a bigger arena to play in doesn't make you a better team. A couple of years ago someone did a historical ranking of bracketologists by accuracy. Lunardi was right in the middle. I think it included somewhere around 70-80 different ones. If he were a basketball team, he'd finish around fifth in the Valley and might get an invite to the CIT.

As for where the games were played, road/home makes a little difference, but I'm not talking about teams with an SOS difference of 3 spots. I said a "significantly harder schedule". My real life examples of teams from the Big East were all cases where they had SOS's of 50, 100, or even 150 spots better than the MVC teams I compared them to. No home/road scheduling imbalances would overcome that.

I also beat Jerry Palm every year from 2006-2013 except 2009 when he beat me by 5 pts.
In 2006 I actually would have been #1 overall and in 2007 #2 overall (not saying much I guess only 10-20 people were involved back then but they were all the "experts" from TV and blogs"

You used "over" twice so I changed Utah Valley to blasting TX-PanAm. :playful:Last edited by 1972Shocker; March 13, 2014, 04:49 PM.

Team A 12-20 RPI 264 SOS 176 NCSOS 331
Team B 12-20 RPI 193 SOS 70 NCSOS 309
But then, it's not like we're comparing teams that are 3 apart in the RPI and SOS. Team B's RPI is 71! spots higher because they lost to a bunch of good teams in conference instead of losing to a bunch of mediocre teams.
