Of course, but surely you aren't saying one head to head game is the only factor to consider. I mean, what would we do with last year's Evansville team that beat the Shox twice?

    Silly question.

I disagree with San Diego State as a one seed.

Three losses when your SOS is 95 and your RPI is 19? Not a one seed. SDSU's margin for error as a one seed isn't much bigger than ours, and no one would be arguing for a one seed for us with three losses. They were a one seed with one loss, likely not with two, and absolutely not with three.

        Arizona

Did you two both fall and bump your head last night or something? Just wake up from a 2 or 3 week coma? Currently, SDSU is #27 in Kenpom, #22 in NCAA RPI, and #13 in both the AP and Coaches, all with an SOS fairly similar to our own. In what alternate reality are they in the running for a #1 seed?

You think the powers that be might throw a hissy fit when WSU - with our stats and credentials - gets a #1 seed? Holy hell if SDSU were to get a #1 seed you better hide the women and children and stock up on 5.56.

I don't know nuthin' about nuthin' but neither of them said SDSU should be a one seed. They only said that they should be seeded higher than KU.

If we were in a power conference? We wouldn't penalize WSU at all for losing those games because they were without 2 starters. But we would reward Evansville for the 2 marquee wins by giving them a 12-seed invite to the dance.

Before you scoff, look at the Big 10.

Gottlieb still has Kansas #1 (and its still not even close) - anyone know if he is going to be at Arch Madness?

It looks like they cut it off right as Seth was turning around to let him have it. Too funny.

I'm sooo tried of talking heads say it's OUR fault we didn't play better teams. If we were to play a one-and-done at a "Big Time" opponents place and lost, Gotlubed would just say "See, I told you they weren't as good". That idiot knows as well as anyone the problems schools like WSU have in getting H/H with top competition.

Warren Nolan shows WSU with a non-con SOS of 33. That is in the top 10%. WSU couldn't do a whole lot better. I am sick of this argument. Having a non-con of 33 considering how hard it is to schedule BCS teams is actually excellent.

That's nice and all, but has nothing to do with what I was talking about.

So, the theory is that if none of the top teams in the power conferences will schedule you, you can't be a #1 seed because you didn't play any of the top teams in the power conferences. Follow through on the logic for that theory, and the coaches at the top teams in the power conferences have the ability to deny a #1 seed to anyone outside their conferences. that would be a rather sad state of affairs.

                              • Aaron craft just tied the all time big 10 steals record.

At the same time, Ohio State is losing at Indiana by 4 with 15:00 to go and might fall out of the top 25 tomorrow.

Too bad Craft doesn't have depth around him like the Shockers have. Oh wait, nevermind, Gotlieb says the Shockers lack depth, and he is a basketball expert. I guess I'll just defer to him. Shockers suck.
