Games of interest

Have you seen them play lately? I'm not disputing that they are better than the bottom of the Valley, but if you can't score 50 against Creighton, you are a bad basketball team.

I think Marquette is an enigma, as they are today. They cannot score. They are DePaul, opposite. They are bad, and they'd struggle to beat Evansville at home or away right now.

It might change, but they aren't good today.

No, I'm saying the logic used by our Resident Genius would suggest that Marquette was an NCAA Tournament team, when they clearly are not.

I seem to remember a team that finished the 2013 regular season going 5-5 that included losing at home to IN St (68-55) and Evansville (59-56, also WSU 2nd loss to them), on the road to a bad SIU team, and @ UNI (57-52). A lot of people probably thought that they blew and questioned if they were an NCAA team.

No way I'm saying Marquette is an NCAA team. Neither has anyone else.

Sorry to drag this out, but one of my pet peeves is people who change their argument throughout a conversation so that you can't hold an actual discussion. I expect nothing different from Fever, who does it regularly. WuDrWu, I expect better from you.

I casually read through this and felt like making a comment about teams that are not good in the Big East. I don't care who they've played. I don't know if they have injuries. They cannot score right now and they are lost. Maybe they'll get it back. I don't know. Do they have athletes? Yes. Does DePaul? Yes. Does DePaul suck balls? Yes. Does Marquette right now? Yes. That's my only point. Does half the Priest suck? Yes. Any of them would be a toss up to go halvsies with the bottom of the Valley home and home.

I didn't take issue with your saying Marquette sucks, or with you saying they couldn't score. I simply tried to point out that the computer rankings call BS when you say that Marquette would be a Thursday night team in the MVC. My pet peeve comment was about you joining Fever in turning the conversation towards Marquette being an NCAA team. Nobody on here is making that argument, so why did you go there? After quoting me the post before, it felt like you were continuing the distraction instead of addressing my criticism about Marquette and the bottom 4 of the MVC.

This topic jumps out at me because I read over and over how BCS message boards are full of idiots saying "if WSU played in the Big 12, they would finish 8th". To me, these comments about Marquette are just as ignorant.
