I'm not saying that they would have packed their gym, but I think that the weather had some impact on the attendance. I believe that I read that there were only 1600 at the Redbird Arena for the SIU game yesterday due to the snow. Of course, I know that a few feet of snow would not have stopped Shocker fans, but there are lots of wimpy, sissy fans out there.

Chicago gets a lot of snow and cold so you would think they would be used to it. I guess we can give them a little pass on that. But I watched part of that game on espn3 and the 1000 had to be paid attendance. Actual attendance appeared to be far less than that.

Even when we get a lot of snow here, the arena doesn't fill up. That horrific SIU game a couple of years ago is a perfect example.
