  • If that KU played this Wichita State team, we win by at least 10 points. I have not seen a single team play a single half that badly. The numbers:

    7-18 from the field
    2-7 from 3
    3-4 from FT
    16 TOs
    17 rebounds (Florida has 19)
4 offensive rebounds (Florida has 11)

They played like they started 4 freshmen and a sophomore. No teamwork, or leadership. Almost as many TOs as shots, and they missed most of those. Only reason they are within 15 is Embiid and Wiggins on the defensive end. And they aren't even getting to the line in the year of freebies.

You do a disservice to FL. They're are a damn good team, and playing at their place is tough. That said, the word is out on KU. They can't shoot from the perimeter and teams are zoning them to death. It would be an interesting matchup with them. They have the advantage down low, I think our guards are better than them.

Other than the Shockers hosting Oral Roberts, of course.

        6-27 FG
        0-7 from 3
        10-14 FT
        5 TO

I think you do a disservice to us. We have a damn good defense as well. I think we could beat KU by 10 points if Florida can beat them by 15 in a single half without their leading scorer scoring a single point.

          • Don't we have enough threads discussing the unreasonable chance of playing KU?

            • Evansville is beating Xavier at Xavier by 11 points with about 11 minutes left in the game. The game is on TV on FOX SPORTS 1. Channel 60 or 2060 on COX cable.

Think of it less of a statement about what could possibly happen in the extremely unlikely chance we ever play against them, and more a statement to what each team needs to to have a ranking in the 10-14 range. KU has had multiple losses, sloppy games, but gets a much bigger margin of error. We have gone undefeated, have the best second half scoring margin in the NCAA, and have a much harder time getting respect in the polls. A full game like the half KU just had would put us out of the rankings.

But remember, just because KU looks like crap against Florida doesn't mean their performance would mirror if they played us, Iowa State, Kentucky or Princeton. Sports doesn't work like that.

                          It is infuriating and pathetic.

The MVC would be roughly .500 and ranked in the 14-17 range as a conference if you subtract WSU. It is mid 1990s bad out there.

                          • UE and X tied at 58 with 3:38 left in the game, UE ball. X made their run with 2 UE starters on the bench with 4 fouls each. UE's big man sat on the bench for over 8 minutes and just got back into the game.

                            • eu is garbage with their one man offense. You can just predict how this one is gonna end. And eu fans will be clamoring "moral victory" left and right.
