I just looked at Dayton's games so far this year and don't really understnd how they were in the top 25.

The same could be said with a lot of teams. Look at Duke, where would WSU be ranked if we had Duke's Schedule/Results? Not top 10. How about with Kansas or Kentucky's Schedule/Results? I'm sure you could pick a few others. I'm sure at the end of the season these teams will be up there, but are they right now?

They beat #11 Gonzaga, lost to #18 Baylor by 1 then beat Cal by 18, all in one week. That's how they got ranked.

Even though their Coach is a whine bag, Iowa is good. They have a real nice mix of tough guys, scorers, and high bball IQs on that team. Drake still ranks as my pleasant surprise so far this season, otherwise mired by turds laid by the likes of Bradley, SIU and UNI the past couple of weeks.

Congrats to the Redbirds on a really nice win. Dayton is for real. Thought Drake would do better or at least keep it closer. To tie a team like Iowa State in regulation you have to be doing something right; too bad it got away from UNI in OT. The Valley may not be as soft as I thought originally. We can't keep coming out with a bad first half with some of the teams coming up, and we all know how unpredictable the Valley can be. We've got the talent -- now they just need to figure out how to not get in a hole in the first half. We had nice, nice leads at halftime in the games we won in the Dance last year and that was a real key to our winning. A real test coming up next Saturday!

I think the Redturds got lucky. Mueller had to call out the fans, just to get them to come out. They also had Creighton-like $1 tickets to the game. A perfect storm for a bad team to pull off a freakish upset. I still don't expect Illinois State to be worth a damn.

However they did it, good for them. A win against a quality out-of-conference opponent is good for the Valley and good for WSU, so quit picking it apart and just enjoy the RPI bump.
