I just don't understand the mentality that some profess that they somehow think WSU losing games is a good thing and then hoping they get hot at the end of the season? That is a recipe for NIT. Play Angry and destroy our competition.
Dont need to be a number 1 seed to feed my ego. Much better to finish number 1 than start there and not finish...Kansas is Flat. The Earth is Not!!

Don't be afraid of success.
Getting to the top as blue collar is a much greater accomplishment. If people want to be blue blood then they should jump on the KU bandwagon.
You might consider Louisville a blue blood program, but I can assure you Kentucky does not, and why would Louisville want to be? They got to where they are by banging down the door multiple times and I bet they dont give a rat's ass about number 1 seeds. They are freaking Louisville. We are freaking Wichita State. Or Rick Pitino says - Wichita State tough...
You dont have to blue blood to be successful. I seriously dont get the insecurity on this board...
My take is not about fearing success. It's about knocking the blue bloods off their perch. Its about hard work versus entitlement. A national championship is no less valid if you were a 4 or 5 seed. A 1 seed is worthless if you are KU or Gonzaga and you get bounced in the round of 32 by a Cinderella. Why would we need a number 1 seed to validate ourselves?
Seems to me you are letting other people define us when you get insecure about Cinderella tag. Cinderella may not have been the richest chick at dance, but she was definitely the hottest.
Question to you is: do you want to be successful and authentic, or a poser?Kansas is Flat. The Earth is Not!!

So we shouldn't strive to be a reloading, successful basketball program? Because that's what a blueblood basically is. We don't have to change our recruiting or identity, necessarily, but we don't have to endure losses to evansville or whoever, get 9 seeds and upset our way to a Final Fours either. Sure, it was fun, and if it happens that way again, cool beans. But to not wanna be the best in your sport? Yeahhhh. Okkkkkkkk.
I'm pretty sure Rick Pitino and Louisville fans like being No.1 seeds. They were last year and guess what? They won a National Title... and not their first one either. They are pretty damn close to blue blood status. Just because UK fans don't want to acknowledge a state rival, doesn't mean it isn't true. If we accomplished everything L'ville has accomplished, we'd be a damn close blueblood also. But you don't want that?
We don't need 1 seeds to validate ourselves. But we sure don't need to be afraid of them if we ever do get them. That would mean we are winning. And winning a lot.
Stop fearing success.Deuces Valley.

Just something I want to add about Louisville...
They consider themselves "blue bloods" and their fans, players, and coaches do too... Everyone here seems to pick on Kentucky as their fans are arrogant, but believe me, Louisville fans are just as bad, if not worse at times!!
