my coworker is a state grad and he hates everytime I ask him how they are doing lately. His son wanted to come to WSU for school from michigan a couple years ago but they couldn't afford out of state costs so he stayed in michigan. I get a big grin everytime he mentions WSU on the phone.

Looks like Michigan decided to play angry today, up 12 with 7:15 left, only problem for us though is that another loss for Michigan St. will push them even closer to the #1 overall seed.

At least Izzo can tell his players they are better then WSU! I mean, after all, WSU would only be the sixth best team I'm the BIG according to him.

I think that they're down one player with broken hand, but Appling appears to be playing. I'm tired of people say that they could be a one seed. Injuries don't erase losses in the eyes of the committee, especially when they still continue to lose when they're back at full strength.

They are not without their players. Only missing Dawson who scores 10 points a game. So a fairly big piece of their lineup.

The Big Ten is a mess. I can't even make a prediction as to who is going to win that conference. (Go Nebraska over Purdue today!)

In other news, due to losses and Saint Louis' win yesterday, any guesses as to how far they'll move up in the rankings? I'm thinking probably just 9th but good for them!

I'm tired of people say that they could be a one seed.

Personally, I don't think you could even make an argument for them to be a two seed right now.

I know no one here will want to make an argument for Creighton, but Creighton's resume is simply better than Michigan State's across the board. RPI, SOS, vs top 25, vs top 50, vs top 100. Creighton wins every comparison. MSU's only arguing point is that they're 4-1 on neutral courts and Creighton is 1-2. Which the committee does take into account, but not to the point where it trumps everything else.

Michigan State is simply not great this year. Don't even worry about people talking about them for a one seed ... that's just name on the jersey talk. Michigan State will be a three seed unless they get hot in the B1G tourney. They're still going to lose @tOSU before the regular season is up.

As far as I'm concerned, Duke and Kansas are the only two teams that are even in the conversation for a one seed right now. And they're trying to take the one seeds of Syracuse and Arizona, not ours. Syracuse and Arizona are likely to lose several more games each before Selection Sunday.

They'll probably be either 9 or 10. Possible that they jump Cinci and San Diego State, but also possible that Louisville jumps them.

I'm less sympathetic to their cause when Dawson injured himself in a team meeting. Also they lost today because they only caused 3 turnovers and having their leading rebounder play wouldn't help much with that.
