  • Ronald Baker, fast break maker, king of the court shake and bake all takers, back to back is a badass fact, a plan that remains - in tact!

    • Are there any players that were one time walk-ons playing in the NBA? I know it's happened but it has to be rare.

I meant currently playing, but yeah there are two nice examples.

          • Andre Drummond was a walkon at UConn. A 5-star walkon, but a walkon nonetheless.

                • Let's say he plays every game this season with numbers the same as what he has had these last 4 games (+20 points, good FT shooting, etc etc etc) he still won't get loto status unless he also nets a player of the year title and a national title for WSU. He is too much of a dark horse.

Now same numbers this year AND next year and 3 good tourney runs? It will be hard to keep him for all 4 years.

And all of this assumes he stays injury free!

                  • Remember that wide open 3 that Baker passed up during the Louisville game in order to rifle a pass to Orupke? I don't think that will happen any more.

                      Understandable.

Just was hoping you wouldn't give a "no defense in the NBA" BS.

                        Because luckily EO graduated.

I knew you were waiting for that line and was gonna respond with it, but thought better of it. No reason to get into an internet fight after a great win today. I'll save it for a day we lose. :livid:

You don't know what you are talking about. I watch the NBA, and Ron Baker does have NBA talent. Is he ready now? No, but if he continues the type of play lately and gets better, he most definitely could be drafted.

The ESPN draft experts have Ron Baker at #40...do you know more than they do? I think not.

                              • No chance Baker goes to the NBA after this season.

He'll be a PG in the NBA. He's a guy that will benefit tremendously from playing the full four years here and developing his PG skills to an elite level.

If he stays healthy and keeps developing, he's a lottery pick in the 2016 draft. But no reason to worry about it this coming offseason.

Just stay healthy. I have nightmare flashbacks to Matt Braeuer every time I see him hitting the floor hard.
