Just being a first round draft player doesn't mean that he'll go into the draft. I would be surprised if he goes this year but if he is a Top 10 player all bets are off.

I agree with Doc and SR for that matter (though I like Doc's presentation more) that the draft talk has the potential to be a big distraction. SN talking about it isn't the problem, but dealing with national media attention can be an issue for a lot of players--it might well be for Early right now. Fortunately Baker has a great head on his shoulders.

No kidding. If the downside is that it can cause players to not play that well then they kind of answer the question themselves. In the mean time, I like the hype

As much as it would break my heart for him to go the NBA draft after this season, I would still be very happy for him. He is one of the better individual stories in college basketball right now. From walk-on paying his own way, to the star of a team coming off a Final 4 appearance. I thought this was going to be Early's team this season. I was wrong. Baker is the heart and soul of the team and we will go as far as he takes us. I wish him the best and hopefully we will have him for another season or two. If he stays at WSU for another couple years, I think he could end up having a jersey hanging from the rafters someday.
