Actually that is not maroon. It is the color of dried blood. Their school colors are T-shirt white and dried blood from all of the possums they skinned for Thanksgiving back in the days of Jethro Clampett and Granny Moses...

Of course they couldn't call themselves the possum killers, so they adopted the Bear as their mascot. They couldn't afford real uniforms so had to wear their "huntin" clothes.

Of course, dried blood on cotton T-shirts is not comfortable, but it feels like cashmere compared to the "Cotton" they will be a feelin in a few weeks....

That Cotton is going to feel like someone put sandpaper in their outhouse...

That is a shirt produced by a national web retailer I do believe. Maybe called footballfanatics.com? They have an identical and complimentary shirt for WSU as well. Nothing to get excited about. Just a wild hair from a marketing type in an office hundreds of miles from Wichita or Springfield quite likely. Not like a product produced by the school or by students or anything.
