We have probably been on the receiving end of Carmichael kicks and 'unintentional' elbows and coaching staff hissy fits a lot more lately because we are beating people all the time. When experienced players who are used to winning get beat by a better team, they might get a little desperate and start doing a little extra to try to out-tough the opponent. Your best effort and your fundamentals haven't been enough all game long, so when its crunch time, you go with a little "X" factor because you really need something.

Cle did it in the first half. Remember when his shot wasn't falling and he kept knocking rebounds out of bounds with his spatula hands? Then he got frustrated because he is a winner and he went down to the offensive end and got out of control trying to do too much. Yeah, he didn't try to assassinate someone by elbowing them in the temple, but I think the cause is similar.

Just like the Carmichael kick. It was a close game. He was frustrated and really needed that bound so he got out of control and round house kicked the guy who kept gobbling up his rebounds all game long.

As long as we keep owning good teams, we will keep seeing weird manifestations of frustration.

I think I just stumbled onto the completion of my nickname for Tekele. TKO Cotton - The Manifestation of Frustration.

Why do you want your intolerance to be met with tolerance?

        It doesn't work that way.

I won't claim to know his intent but I was taught to box out with my body not my elbows. It's a lot harder to get through a body than an arm. Of course if you just knock the guy out with your elbow he's probably not getting the rebound.

Even if it was intentional, even if he sized him up and clocked him, then swung around to do it again in the heat of battle, he still made a point to find Ron down in the locker rooms and apologize to him. I've done plenty of stupid stuff in games. If a guy knows he messed up and owns up like that, that's being a man in my estimation.

I didn't bring the subject up, but when a certain denominations identify them as "Christian" that actually means something. There are many off topic things that invade threads every day that are annoying, but I don't play forum police, I just skip over it. So if it doesn't interest you then u probably should to.

Whether u are methodist, baptist, pentacostal, catholic, lutheran - etc. They may have their philosophical differences but usually on more trivial matters (or disputable matter), but they all share some common doctron belief surrounding the fact that Jesus was God that actually make them "Christian". But is well known if you research it LDS may invoke Jesus (just like the Muslim believe there was Jesus), but they don't hold to the basic doctrine that define a organization as "Christian".

From what I understand, and note that I am a proud Anglican/Episcopalian aka "Catholic Light, all the fun & none of the guilt", LDS view of Christ is very similar to that of the Eastern Orthodox religion, particularly as it pertains to the trinity. They get caught up on the part that includes the phrase "of one being with the Father" and also that Christ visited the new world after his resurrection.

Now I believe in the trinity and the resurrection so I am not going to fully discount someone's faith because they say the man I believe died, went to hell, and then returned three later to visit many people around the holy land, including Paul's visitation and conversion by Christ on the road to Damascus, also visited the new world. At the end of the day I figure Anglican Bishop N.T. Wright said it best "it's all rock and roll after that".
