"I not sure that I've ever been around a more competitive player or young man than Fred VanVleet. I like to win more than 99.9% of the people in this world, but he may top me." -- Gregg Marshall 12/23/13 :peaceful:

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

      • Didn't BYU's double-zero, Erik Mika, get his ass kicked like that previously. I think it was by Rocky Balboa in Rocky IV.

        • I have to believe X wished he was 30 years younger last night so he could get out there and join the scrum. He was never one to back away from a physical battle.
Where oh where is our T. Boone Pickens.

          • First Half: Matt Carlino - 18 points. Tyler Haws - 4 points. Haws defended by Tekele Cotton. Haws' 4 points game on 4 free throws after Tekele went to the bench with his 2nd foul.

Second Half: Cotton is switched to guarding Carlino. Carlino - 3 points. Haws 13 points. Coincidence? I think not.

Ron Baker. Fred Van Vleet. Cleanthony Early. All outstanding players. All deserving of the praise they receive. But IMHO Tekele Cotton is the glue that strengthens and binds this team together into one tough package.

Edit: Oops, I didn't see the separate thread on Tekele until this was posted. Need to catch up before posting I guess.

Nice to have four guys like that. Need to cut down on the turnovers, though, Cle.

                      • I understand Tekele was also dealing with a pseudo injury that caused him enough pain that he removed himself from the game more than once.

That happened to me after the burger, onion rings and two beers I downed Monday before the Depaul game.

I was on the floor and saw him coming out from haltime the first game pulling down a towel over the back of his head. I said at the time that maybe he had the flu or something, because he looked like he didn't want to move. Of course, he went out and performed lights out, again.
