If the official had called a travel on Tennessee's Chris Lofton, Marshall's Winthrop may have defeated an overrated #2 Seed Tennessee. His team would've faced Turgeon's Wichita State. Would Wichita State have reached the Sweet 16 and given Turgeon the resume he needed to move on a year later? Would Winthrop have become #15 Seed media darlings giving Marshall the resume for any number of open jobs?

I often give officials a hard time, but I send my sincere thanks for not calling that one.

I think HCGM being in the same pod with us really helped us land him as he saw our fan support. If we had played Winthrop and won I honestly don't see him making the move a couple of years later. Maybe that is silly but I don't think it would sit well with him to come to a place that stopped Winthrop's best ncaa tourney run.

Funny, they were the 2nd best FG shooting team in the country coming in. I guess that's what happens when you finally start playing teams other than IUPUI, Mercer, Methodist Something, etc. Same ol EU in the end.

No they just remembered that they need to ruin our season later so they are now saving every made shot for when we play them. They will shoot 100% and beat us by 1.
