You'll win a lot of games when you're 71% from 3 and 100% from the line. I can't imagine how bad LMU must be defensively.

Do you realize how bad it looks pluralizing "Shox"? Let's get that cleaned up.
      Deuces Valley.
      ... No really, deuces.

UNI beats LMU 90-81. If UNI has one of those local discount things, they probably broke it. I can imagine the conversation... Shop owner: "Wait... they scored 90?!?!?! We don't have a discount for that!!!"

Also, in the 'technically not a game of interest' category- Maryland is letting Marist hang around, 26-20 at half. Marist is 0-4 with losses to Stony Brook, Elon, and a 93-48 loss to Providence.

Not exactly a game of interest, but MT's 1-2 Terrapins having a barn-burner with 0-4 Marist. At the half. Maryland leads 26-20. Both teams shooting in the low .300.

OK, Jamin. You got me by a few seconds on the 2nd, but I still had you by 2 minutes on the 1st.

This shows we clearly have too much time on our hands. :)

During an ESPN game yesterday the commentator raved about the WSU Tulsa game and said the shockers should be higher in the polls.

Michigan (who we are tied with in the AP Poll) is losing to Florida State 37-27 at halftime. A loss would basically guarantee we are no lower than #12 come Monday (although I think we are going to hop Gonzaga too).

What was almost as eye-catching about this game as the margin was that FSU shot 53%. How many teams do that to the Shakas (as opposed to Shockers)?

Florida State is going to, and deserves to, move up huge in the next poll. They dismantled VCU and if they hold on against Michigan the deserve to be ahead of WSU, and pretty much everyone else too.

I was surprised to see that, coming into the Michigan game, Florida St was averaging over 20 turnovers per game through the first 4. They're taking better care of the ball today and still shooting lights out.

FSU would have been a top 10 team had they gotten Wiggins and Xavier Rathan-Mayes stayed eligible. In fact, I think one of the big reasons Wiggins went to Kansas is that he knew Rathan-Meyes would end up academically ineligible. His college choice always seemed to be a matter of finding a team he was comfortable with, and Rathan-Meyes was a big reason for him considering FSU (he was Wiggins's teammate) along with the fact that it was his parent's alma mater.

On the other hand, Michigan could drop big time in the next poll with potentially two losses. While I've been impressed by two of their sophomores, Nik Stauskas and Glenn Robinson III, I've found that Mitch McGary was a little overhyped in the preseason. The first two are averaging a combined 32.5 PPG, 10.1 RPG, and 6.1 APG; McGary has mustered only mediocre numbers in the two games he has played albeit on good efficiency.

Considering the very bad grammar (or spelling) used on this board, if you don't like it, don't read it.
