Because the actual *big* schools from the Big East have all abandoned it. The Big East was made a power by Syracuse, Louisville, Connecticut, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, etc. What's left now is a shell of its former shelf. You can say it's up there towards the top of the mid's, but that's it. Butler will be down after Stevens abandoned ship. G-town is crappy, as evidenced by today. Marquette looks like garbage. And then you're left with Seton Hall, DePaul, Providence, Nova, whoopty freaking do. sCUm will be nothing after SoW and Slow-Mo Gibbs graduates.

2 bid league, 3 bids max if they pull a rabbit out of their hats.
    Deuces Valley.
    ... No really, deuces.

Heard the same thing when they had Gallagher/Harstad, Buford/Sears, Funk/Tolliver, now McDermott. Fever's Creighton "tic" reminds me of Chief Inspector Dreyfus anytime Clouseau's name would come up. :)

We'll know more about the Shoxs by the middle of next week (after the DePaul and BYU/Texas games and for sure by the middle of December after St. Louis and Tennessee).
We have proven that we don't lose even when we get behind. Other teams haven't. And because we haven't proven anything, I'd also be curious to know how many Top 25 teams have a true road win?

There might be a few more but true road wins I know about: Arizona over San Diego State, Ohio State over Marquette, Iowa State over BYU, WSU over Tulsa.

Those are three pretty impressive road wins; ours is definitely the odd man out. Not trying to belittle beating TU by 23 but the others are more akin to our win over VCU last year.

Look -- I'm not trying to belittle the Shoxs in anyway whatsoever. I love the Shoxs -- they are MY team, win or lose. But I sure wish they would get this first half/second half crap figured out sooner rather than later. See you in Kansas City.

Looking at the play-by-play, they started the game with four straight turnovers. Didn't even attempt their first shot until the 16:44 mark. At that point they were already down 8-0.

They were averaging 81.5 ppg before yesterday's loss to Northeastern. Oregon let them score 41 in a half and Wright St gave up 50. So they do score well against inferior competition. ;)

Oregon has a pretty good team.

I know. I was primarily referring to Wright St and KSU, but figured I'd get a dig in, even if undeserved, on Altman.

UNI beating Loyola-Marymount in a must win for the Panthers (as far getting quality opponents goes in their tournament) in the Virgin Islands.

                              UNI 26,
                              LMU 19

                              9:32 remaining in the half

You only seem to post when you have something to say about Creighton. Coincidence?

What did I say that isn't true? I'll wait for your counter argument with baited breath.
