With some struggles in the post I keep thinking about the fall-off after the sweet 16. We returned every piece but Miller (and Bradley who was a more than solid back-up-guard), but the wheels eventually came off. Chemistry had something to do with it, but as other has said that is also a question of wins and losses. It turned out Miller was the one piece that made everything else click.

Well, here we go running roughshod over the facts again. Karon Bradley was a senior in '06-'07

The chemistry component that came up missing from '05-'06 to '06-'07 was the presence of Cam Ledford and Nick Rodgers (with a big assist from Paul Miller). Those guys had the '06 team so closely bonded they would run through a wall for one another. The '07 team came apart at the seams without strong senior leadership once the dissention started.

The '06-'07 team was missing another important piece: Tad Boyle.

And some of our guys just flat didn't like each other.

Thanks for the correction. However, my point was that we didn't lose too much for the extent of the drop-off other than the 1 keystone piece which contributed to all the the other ones. So rather than running roughshod over the facts you might say I mistakenly one out to better substantiated my point.

They were also missing the idea of not sleeping with a teammate's girlfriend.

Title is completely off base. Chemistry is in no way problem. As soon as a couple of bigs attempt to replicate the play of Hall/Orukpe, everything will be fine. We need play-angry ball-getters in the post. We made progress against Tulsa.

Thanks, SirShoxAlot, for clearly identifying and stating the real meat of the problem.

I was dancing around it with the whole covalent bond thing but yeah ... that will do the trick.
