No. More discussion here 2-3 days ago. http://shockernet.net/forum/showthre...nterest/page53

    • The bad news is that it's becoming increasingly unlikely that Drake and SWOMO will be Top 100 teams. The good news is that UNI has a great shot at being Top 50 now. Not sure which is better.

          • Any chance this could be update sometime? I was just curious if any teams could feasibly move into the next 'tier' be it Top 50 or Top 100.

Pretty easy way to look at it: http://warrennolan.com/basketball/20.../Wichita-State

                • We have moved up to number 7 in the ESPN BPI (Basketball Power Index). This index is only important because ESPN talks about it all of the time.

                    • Thanks! Looks like we need Tenn & ISUb to keep winning to give us those top 50 rpi wins...

Yeah, they pimp the hell out of the BPI. Kinda makes me sick how ESPN can invent their own measuring stick and then ram it down everyone's throat as if it is the gold standard of bball metrics.

                        • What I want is one of UNI or ISUr to go on a tear and make the top 100 (was about to say MSU but I'd guess they don't do that going 2-1). Anybody know how many wins those teams would probably need to get below 100?

                          • RPIforecast.com has Missouri State with an RPI of 96 if they go 2-1 to finish the year.
UNI could also break the top 100, although they would need to go 3-0 including a win @ Indiana State.
Even Illinois State is in range. 3-0 would put them at 100

Of course, these are all estimates. Other games around the country would have impact too. Also, don't forget about St. Louis. There will be a few more wins and losses doled out there too.

                            • Time for those teams to get it together. Not feeling hopeful. OTOH they all play ISUb so our possible top-50 wins are competing against our top-100 wins.

MSU seems the only one with a realistic chance only needing 2 straight and both them at home (vs. ISUb and Loyola).

ISUb has a tough final stretch: @ MSU, @ISUr, and vs. UNI. If they win out until the championship game and lose to us I think they are absolutely at-large worthy (though not sure the selection committee will see it that way) going 9-1 over their final 10.

How about Tulsa, Alabama, NC Central etc.?
