and wku was well coached. they should go to their third staright ncaa tournament, no small feat.

Totally agree. Even the ESPN announcers commented that FVV has taken up the PG role quite well in MA's absence. And I think Coleby is showing that he can be as effective on both sides of the court as Carl although he's probably not quite as "angry" that Mr. Hall was last year.

I think HCGM will fix the rebounding and we'll see a more focused team in the next few games. But I would especially like to see better play from Carter and Wessel.

Sure Carter hasn't done anything to make us forget Carl yet but I've seen enough from him to feel comfortable saying its only a matter of time before we really like this kid. Coach Marshall said on his last radio show that the people who are worried about Carter now will be loving him later. That's good enough for me.

Wessell missed an almost an entire year. Sure he's been a bit rusty, especially offensively, but he'll get better as the year goes on. Given the circumstances I'm pleased with what he's done so far. If everyone got after it on the boards like Wessell, we wouldn't be discussing rebounding as an area that needs improvement.

Patience.

Some seem to want us to pick up exactly where we left off last year. Not going to happen. Don't forget that Hall didn't fully morph into The Beast until his second year. Cle wasn't hitting on all cylinders until the end of last season. So it might take Carter most of this year to show us his stuff. Wessel missed nearly all of last season--he might take some time to get back into form. Don't judge these guys strictly by what you've seen so far.
