If he can score like Ron Harris all is well.

If I remember correctly (granted that's a big if) Ron Harris was from Pennsylvania. Ron WASHINGTON was the "thin man from Chicago."

Looked like an entirely new offense.
Carter can post up, the other two can't.
JR Simon had to play a minute at the end of the first half sometimes, it might be okay.
We are gonna shoot a helluva lotta 3's.

It was indeed Ron Harris they were comparing Derail "Go" Green's shot to. However, now I am trying to remember if it was Ron Harris or Ron Washington folk used to call "the thin man from Chicago?" Yikes!!!

Our backcourt is legit and outside of Early, our frontcourt needs some work. We missed a lot of inside shots again. That won't work against stiffer competition.

Baker and Van Vleet continue to excel and act like 5th-year seniors.

Refs seem like they let the teams play for the most part, which was nice.

There was a bit of bumping and scrumming in the second half that probably should have been called (as I understand the new rules), but I think the fact that we didn't get hit with a lot whistles was that Marshall has already done a very good job of making adjustments. Our secondary defenders space themselves slightly farther back from their man and when our post players "flash" to cover screens they also have been careful not the draw contact on a cutting ball carrier. Also, the emphasis that Marshall has placed on shot blocking is already apparent.

We are talking about overmatched opponents, so it will be interesting to see how these changes affect our play against competition more comparable to our athleticism and skill.

Here's a shout out to the student section. Much improved from last year. Still needs work to be LOUD all game long (and I know that is much harder than it sounds). I think it will take time, but after a period (and unfortunately it could be a much longer period than we would like) of getting used to an "active" student section, the crowd will respond. Yes, even the so-called "blue hairs" (man how I hate that term).

Terrance Moore looked like a D-1 player.

Terrance played a nice game. Good job.

I believe it was Terrance that was running his mouth to Baker early in the game and it really torqued Ron off.

Just a hint to opponents, take it or leave it:

Our guys are pretty good, and they play even better when they are angry. You might have heard something about that.

Kinda like after Carter got thrown to the deck and tweaked his arm. He had a couple good minutes when he came back and looked pissed.

I think I remember a play where Baker made it his mission to dribble down the court 100 mph to fire up a 3 all in the span of 5 seconds in a kind of a "Take that" moment. Loved it.

I hope Terrance enjoys his play at a middling D2 program.

I was really trying to pay attention to our defense and noticed that our guys were doing a good job of not using their hands and just trying to use their feet to stay in good position. I will hold off until we play a quasi equal athletic team before I make this definitive, but I don't foresee us having 20+ foul nights too often.

Was Coleby as bad his numbers looked, or was it just foul trouble? One basket, three rebounds, three fouls, and three turnovers sure doesn't look good from the expert "glance at the box score" analysis I've been able to do.
