Problem can always be solved, it just depend on:

    1. Do they recognize there is an issue?

    2. Do they have the will to address the issue?

My main complaint is the new audio system they installed. You cannot understand any speaking portions in the videos they play. Maybe this can be adjusted, but at the moment the audio quality is very poor.

In general, yes. The way it's being used, no. It can be 100 times more bad ass.

I like the higher-definition video, although the logic of running continuous video of the action on the floor escapes me. What I dislike most is the presentation of the text in the lower quarter of the board, that is, the "scoreboard" portion of the video board.

The scoreboard is too small, too busy and too hard to read. We sit in row 17 pretty much off a corner of the board. We do not have a straight-on view of the board. The game score and clock are OK (albiet a little small), but the team fouls and TOL and the player numbers and stats too small and all of the white lines forming the grid around EVERY SINGLE THING on the scoreboard make it too busy and even more difficult to read.

The grid should be eliminated or changed to a very thin line of a dark color (i.e. subtle red) and the meaningful print should be bigger.

I assume this is a programming job or perhaps there are different templates available for scoreboard display. I would like to see some experimentation leading toward improvement.

The video board / scoreboard should compliment and enhance the experience of the game being played on the floor. I don't think we're there with the current configuration. We have a lot of (too much) advertising, which is fodder for another discussion.

One more question - is there a clock visible anywhere inside CKA now?

              --'85.
I want the clock back! Noticed that right off the bat. I did see it appear
for a little bit during madness then it went away Leave
              It up all the time.

Looks like we're going to beat the Panthers pretty big this year!

                    Oh goodness yes. Muy bueno.

Looks like they have some more room to increase the font size for the player/points/fouls metrics. I'd probably bump those up in size a little bit, but I'm saying that looking at a picture on a forum, rather than sitting in row #34 in CKA, so it might be just fine.

I really like it and I agree if possible bigger on the stats font would be better.

Just took some tweaking. Now as long as they keep tweaking the sound system I will be happy.
You miss 100% of the shots you don't take....

.....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.

                          Excellent improvement!

Agree with @Ricky Bobby:, we won't know about the stat font size until in the stadium, but this is already worlds ahead of where it was.

POS doesn't have to be as big as it is. So:

                          1) Reduce the height of POS.
                          2) Add a smallish real time clock at the bottom of that center column once you have reduced POS. The clock can be small (e.g. the size of BONUS).
Kung Wu say, man who read woman like book, prefer braille!

It's just a minor thing, but I think they need to use '0' instead of '00' for P, PTS, and F.

It's like we got a fancy new toy to use, but are too lazy to maximize it.

The OKC Thunder board pic that someone posted in another thread is a PERFECT example of less is more and simple is better. Someone should start there for inspiration in a redesign. Heck, just ask the WSU Graphic Design department to develop a new stats layout. I'm certain it would look better than current.

                                Very slick.

As a guy who lets everybody know when the athletic department is doing something wrong, I applaud them for making quick changes and improving this situation 100-fold. It looks like they read this site and take us seriously. Also props to those people who care enough to email the department directly.

I'm very impressed with how quick and efficient they are working out problems and listening to the fans.

Bravo, athletic department. Keep going in the right direction.
