Shockers vs Oklahoma Baptist game thread

I never predict a score. Just win and play well and everything else will take care of itself. My thoughts are with Cleanthony.

I noticed that Oklahoma Baptist won their opening game of the season this past Thursday by a score of 97-52. So it should be a pretty high scoring game, especially with more opportunities for free throws.

I wonder how much more we average per game this season because of the rule change? Last year we averaged 69.7 points per game. I don't see why we can't get it close to 75. I think even without the rule change we were going to average more.

I just keep remembering that in the past we have out-fouled our opponents. With the rule change, our fouls will probably go up and if we are against a good free throw shooting team, we could have some problems. I know you could make the argument that the other team will foul more too, but in the past we unfortunately have, more times than not, "won" that stat.

"OBU men's basketball has been ranked out of the top 10 just one week in the last five years. OBU has played for more National Championships than anyone else at the NAIA level, including playing in two of the last four national championship games in 2010 and 2012.

Couldn't find their team stats just yet, but it looks like they have quite a few upper classmen at first glance. They might be a pretty good game.
